A Little About Me
I’m both a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and an attorney, with more than 25 years of experience helping people navigate life’s most challenging moments. My professional journey began at the University of California, Berkeley, where I earned my undergraduate degree, followed by both a Master of Social Work and Juris Doctorate from Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri.
Before becoming a full-time therapist, I served as General Counsel for a North Texas nonprofit dedicated to improving the health, education, and emotional well-being of families. I later practiced family law, representing the interests of children and adults during deeply personal and often difficult transitions.
Whether in the courtroom or the counseling room, I’ve walked alongside people facing profound change—helping them find clarity, resilience, and hope. I continue to be inspired every day by my clients’ courage and capacity for growth.
My Approach
At Lantern Light Counseling, I believe you are more than your struggles—you are a whole person with strengths, values, and untapped potential. My style is warm, non-judgmental, and often infused with humor, because healing can be both a serious and life-affirming process.
I’m a skilled listener who asks thoughtful questions that invite new perspectives and insights. Together, we’ll explore what’s holding you back, uncover your strengths, and build the life skills needed to create the future you envision. My role is to “shine a light” on your path, helping you see what’s possible and supporting you every step of the way.
If you’re ready to navigate change, heal from the past, or simply live with greater clarity and purpose, I’m here to help you start that journey.
